What is Diabetes?
Diabetes is a chronic metabolic illness characterized by high blood sugar levels. Unless appropriately treated or managed, high blood sugar levels can cause the destruction of various body organs and tissues, including but not limited to the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart. Symptoms of diabetes include increased thirst and urination, fatigue, blurred vision, and cuts or wounds that are taking longer than usual to heal. Appropriate management, on the other hand, will allow persons with diabetes to remain healthy and enjoy active lives.

3. Gestational Diabetes: This is a kind of diabetes that develops during pregnancy, usually in the second or third trimester.
4) Prediabetes: A condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as diabetes.
What is early-stage diabetes?
Diabetes can be divided into four stages of development: Type 1, prediabetes, Type 2, and Type 2 diabetes with vascular complications.

What effect does diabetes have on the body?
These include increased thirst and urination, when high blood sugar causes the production of more urine, leading to frequent urination and increased thirst; it may also be characterized by fatigue and weakness, where high blood sugar causes one to act and show sluggishness in regard to energy levels. High blood sugar levels may further cause the eye's lens to swell, leading to blurred vision. Poor healing of cuts and wounds: High blood sugar can damage the body's ability to heal wounds and cuts.
